As
part of the Latin American Forest team, at Environmental
Investigation Agency, I work on illegal logging and deforestation issues.
By providing the team with socio-political, economic and environmental background,
data, and current news in the region, we have exposed a complicated web
of environmental degradation, human rights abuses, political corruption
and incompetent environmental policy in Honduras. My professional interests
lie in making positive changes in policy, public awareness and consumer
choices that address problems within environmental, human rights and food
production issues. I come to this field as a seasoned advocate in women's
rights and environmental advocacy, with experience in NGO management and
leadership, community organizing, coalition building and issue-oriented
